About this deal

The plot has the typical basic structure of (1) Background, (2) Something bad happens, (3) Happy ending. But one day Mrs Thomas says she is going to throw Bunny in the dustbin, and then Bunny – and Mog – go missing… From the creator of The Tiger Who Came to Tea and Mog the Forgetful Cat comes a delightful family adventure about a really remarkable cat!

A gentle and beautifully-observed story exploring a situation that will be familiar to children everywhere. This hits the favorite shelves immediately because it has a total 'awwwwwwwww' thing going on when you read about the devotion that Mog has to a certain stuffed toy. Published in 1968 and never out of print in the fifty years since, it has become a much-loved classic and perennial bestseller. Kerr adds a touch of humor to the text through the illustrations of the adults, who are often not so amused over where they find Bunny. Judith Kerr’s playful stories featuring Mog will be the inspiration behind the fun trail in the Mansion. She is also the author and illustrator of numerous picture books, including The Tiger Who Came to Tea, which was first published in 1968 and has since sold more than one million copies worldwide. It includes colourful illustrations throughout which aid the children’s understanding of certain vocabulary words. Please note these are estimated transit times and are based on deliveries between major gateway cities. For some reason this, combined with the very sweet pictures and simple (but not boring) text, really appeals. This will always be one of my all-time favourites and I honestly can't wait to read it to my own kids someday and have them stare with big eyes when Mog loses his precious bunny and is crying big cat tears until the doll is found again. But one day Mrs Thomas says she is going to throw Bunny in the dustbin, and then Bunny - and Mog - go missing. I remember it being read to me when I was very little, the later reading it myself and reading it to my little sister and brother. See our Remarkables Archive for some that are no longer in print, but which we are happy to try to track down. Recommended to cat lovers young and old, and to all Mog fans - I just wish my library system had all of this kitty-cat's adventures.
